Summer Temporary Positions in Patient-Centered Service and Cleaning Operations

The patient-centered service and cleaning operations within Region Halland are seeking summer temporary workers for Halmstad, Hylte, and Laholm in the summer of 2026.

About the Job

The tasks include regular cleaning as well as deep cleaning of reception areas, administrative offices, and common areas in hospitals and health centers within Halland municipalities. Patient-centered service means that a team is responsible for the patient-centered service in the departments of our hospitals. The service team collaborates closely with healthcare staff to make the patient flow as smooth as possible and contribute to high quality in the department. The team's tasks may include responsibility for patient kitchens, cleaning, and inventory management, and involve a lot of collaboration, both within the team and with healthcare staff. The work also includes contact with patients and relatives, where the service team enhances the patient's experience of quality.

Working Hours

Working hours may vary as we perform work from Monday to Sunday between the hours of 05:00 AM to 01:00 AM.

About You

You are a positive person who is engaged and contributes to a good team spirit to create a pleasant workplace. You take responsibility for your work and understand that you are part of an important whole. In your work, you may have contact with patients, relatives, and healthcare staff, so it is important that you are social, outgoing, and have good communication skills. We also see that you have the ability to be flexible and can prioritize between tasks when needed.

For safety reasons, you must be able to understand written instructions and communicate with colleagues and other partners, so very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is required. It is an advantage if you have previous experience in service work, such as hotel cleaning or home care, and that you hold a B driver's license. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

About Patient-Centered Service and Cleaning Service

Our support and service functions for cleaning service and patient-centered service are of great importance to healthcare. In addition to the daily cleaning of the premises in Halland's hospitals and health centers, we also provide patient-centered service to care units in the hospitals. With patient-centered service, we support the care units with various tasks that provide benefits and value for healthcare staff, so they can focus on their patients and their care.

With patient-centered service, we work in teams and offer employees both flexible and varied work content. As an employer, we expect you as an employee to have the right competence and ability to perform within patient-centered service.
